Hogmanay Street Party 2004/2005 The Hogmanay Street Party has become a world-famous extravaganza with music, sports, arts and fun. A Celebration that attracts revellers from all over the country and probably further afield. This year the event will be accessible by pass only and tickets & passes go on sale from 2nd October by Internet, telephone, post or in person from the Hogmanay Box Office, The Hub, Castlehill, EDINBURGH, EH1 2NE Telephone: 0131 473 2000. Events will include The Torchlight Procession, The Night Afore International, The Candlelit Concert in St Giles Cathedral, The New Year Revels, The Concert in the Gardens, Huskies go to Holyrood, Parklife, The One O’clock Run and of course The Seven Hills Fireworks. Not all of these events are ticketed. The following are free entry:
The Seven Hills Fireworks promises to be a major spectacle and is being organised by the same French Company that provided the amazing fireworks at the recent Athens Olympics. Debbie Harry and the excellent Blondie are being lined up to feature. The Organisers have taken many precautions to try and prevent the weather spoiling the event as it did in Edinburgh last year. So get your tickets and passes and head on in for a Hogmanay celebration never to forget. New Year wouldn’t be the same without it.
