Apparently the most common side-effect is the dry mouth, although my experience with the drug was serious fluid retention. It appeared to work by inhibiting the production of urine by the kidneys causing me to blow up like a balloon. I had been on holiday at the time, in Mallorca, being quietly critical of all the obese tourists around the pool when I suddenly realised I had become one of them. Needless to say, the medication was stopped very quickly. Had I been happy being a fatty it would probably have relieved my discomfort.
